Let me start by saying that this whole fucking fiasco was bullshit. I was extremely offended that all this stupid shit was flooded around the news for so long. Let's look at why.
| Quote: | | The two elder brothers of six-year-old Falcon Heene said they saw him climb into the capsule of the flying-saucer shaped aircraft built by their father Richard, an amateur scientist, before it somehow became untethered and took off. | The two brothers were standing there watching and SOMEHOW it became untethered. What a fucking co-incidence!
| Quote: | | The incident absorbed much of America for the best part of three hours in the afternoon, as television cameras followed the balloon's progress across the blue skies of Colorado to a crash landing 80 miles from the boys' home in Fort Collins. | Crash landing?? The thing is a foil filled with helium!!! You could barely even crash that in a vacuum!
| Quote: | | ... there was no sign of the basket Falcon had supposedly climbed into at the crashing landing site 80 miles away. | They knew this hours before it landed.
| Quote: | | Several people reported seeing something fall from the balloon while it was in the air, raising fears that the boy had fallen to his death. | If you think there was a kid in there, why not start by checking where "something fell" instead of sending "helicopters with heat-seeking cameras readied for take off and teams of body-hunters prepared to comb the area under its flight path."
| Quote: | | Bob Licko, 65, a neighbour, who was taken in by the prank, said he was leaving home when he heard a commotion next door. He said he saw two boys on the roof with a camera, commenting about their brother. | Did someone check the fucking camera??
| Quote: | | "This is not the first time when we have been searching for some child, that when they realise people are looking for them, they hide, because they are afraid that they are going to get in trouble," he told reporters. | He was hiding all along That was the whole idea behind this.
| Quote: | Mr Heene once appeared on television as the father of a "storm-chasing, science-obsessed" family. With former local weatherman Scott Stevens he has a company called Psyience Detectives. They wrote a paper in a weather journal asserting that rotating storms create their own magnetic fields.
He regularly took his wife and children on storm-chasing trips to take magnetic readings from storms. He attached manometers to small homemade rockets which were fired into the storm or rode into the maelstrom on a small motorbike with a meter attached to his helmet. | wait wait wait....
| Quote: | | or rode into the maelstrom on a small motorbike with a meter attached to his helmet. | What the fuck? Need further proof to see this guy is crazy? I'm no motorcycle driver but I recall dozens of storms where motorcycles were parked under bridges on highways waiting for storms to blow over.
| Quote: | | He and his wife took part in the Wife Swap reality show last year, while he posted a YouTube video on how to remove scratches from DVD games. | ATTENTION WHORES!!! How much more proof do you need that this was a planned publicity stunt??
| Quote: | | He had published a book called The Official Offensive Driving Handbook and was convinced he had found the secret of an antigravity device in the cyclonic action of tornadoes. | THERE IT IS!
Someone better get charged for this. If I lived in this jurisdiction and all my tax money was wasted on emergency response to this fucking stunt I would be furious! I don't care how many people believe that it was not the father's idea, an example must be made of these fucks.
God fucking damn Americans. _________________
